The 32nd annual Charles Harris Run for Leukemia is being held this Saturday, FEB 25. This is a 10k race which is a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event. This course is the fastest in the state of Georgia. It is a net elevation drop of 92ft from start to finish. The race begins at Tucker High School at 7:45 AM. It goes west down Hwy 29 and concludes at Druid Hills Middle School (formerly Shamrock Middle School).
The event is in memory of Dr. Charles Harris who passed away with leukemia at age 49 in 1981. Dr. Harris was the prinicipal of Shamrock High School. ( You may go to the website www.charlesharrisrun.com to learn more about his legacy. There is also all the race information there as well.
There is race day registration beginning at 6 AM at Tucker HIgh School. You may register at any BIG PEACH running store through Thus evening. The Decatur BIG PEACH will register through this Friday evening, FEB 24.
